This determined page, Chris of the House of Burns, is not yet old enough to practice jousting with the young squires, but he is eager and determined to learn the sport. After school, Chris can always be found in the stables learning everything possible about caring for the war horses, repairing armor, tack, weaponry and carburetors. His older brother, Squire Jerry, depends on young Chris to assist him at the Squire Matches.
Chris is confident that soon he will be ready to join his brother in the local contests and has chosen the number XIX for himself. He already has a reputation for eagerness and the skills to lend a hand at local jousting events. Some day both lads will proudly compete together under the family banner of The House of Burns. This well respected family owns a property guild in the Southern Coastal region of the Land of Velocity. The entire family enthusiastically embraces the sport of jousting. Small wonder young Chris shares the passion.
