"Lady Nancy of Sterling’s fondness for animals, including pet squirrels, was inspiration for a whimsical portrait that mimics Leonardo da Vinci’s famous “Lady with an Ermine” (right).
With her lush blond hair barely contained under a brown muslin cap, Lady Nancy’s winter gown is of English red and jade green velvets. Jeweled satin sleeves are accented by black cording.
Always active in promoting worthy causes, she would likely encourage citizens of the Land of Velocity to give attention to the knights’ various Web sites which promote the wellbeing of animals and wildlife conservation. Sir Ward of Burton’s Wildlife Foundation as well as the Ryan Newman Foundation and Greg Biffle Foundation are several places to visit, in-between jousts, of course."
